One of the most common problems my clients ask me about each year
coming into February is about skin health, in particular, about how to reduce
dryness, redness and irritation.
This comes as no surprise, given the stresses placed on the skin by cold
winds and central heating. It is also often the time of the year where people most commonly see flare-ups in skin conditions like dermatitis and eczema. Fortunately, there are some natural skin soothing products that will help, and
help quickly at that!
Organic, clean, green skin care company Zk'in have a terrific
Rejuvenating Moisturiser which contains a Brown Seaweed superfood ingredient extract. This super soother also contains fucoidan and calcium - both of which help reduce wrinkles and enhance skin appearance. The formula also contains Rosehip Oil and Aloe Vera to help with skin repair. It is a nourishing gel for the skin that helps to soothe any red areas and is particularly useful in helping to reduce skin irritations, dryness and itchiness,
too.
The gel has properties which help to create a protective barrier on the skin. This natural, moisturising barrier helps to seal in essential nutrients and moisture which results in softer, more supple skin.
Aloe can quickly relieve the pain associated with skin rashes like those
experienced in eczema and psoriasis - in my opinion, it often works as well as
steroidal creams! It will reduce inflammation and heat in affected areas.
It can help to reduce skin dryness overnight in many cases. Aloe Vera Gel can be used under makeup and should be used daily for best results.
Silica is a key ingredient that assists with overall skin health - it is key to
helping with the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles and also promotes
